Studio update…

Well, it’s been a busy summer, with our Urban Design Trip, and a lot of work on a variety of projects. We’ve also been settling into our new studio, and working hard to keep up with work and set up systems and procedures for the team to work with as we grow.

As we move towards the autumn, it’s time to bid farewell to Isaac Shepherd, who is going back to Cardiff to begin his masters and complete his part 2 training. At the same time, it’s a pleasure to welcome Evie to the practice. Evie has just graduated from Sheffield University and we’re delighted she’s chosen to join us.

We’re loving our new studio space in Hathersage, it’s a really characterful building, and we’ve got more space than we know what to do with. Because we've always been structured around flexible working, we have equipped our office on this basis - we are light on desks and heavy on collaborative spaces, meeting areas and unusual places to work. Not everyone is in the office every day, so we are keen to make the most of our time together in the office, and always aim to structure the week around getting the most of our opportunities for in person collaboration. Like everyone as we emerge from the pandemic, we’re feeling our way into how often we meet, how much time we spend together, and how we prepare ourselves for any future lockdowns or other eventualities. We’re really excited by the opportunities our new space has to allow us to adapt and make the most of the time we do come together.
